The often forgotten “Brutus” – D. Iunius Brutus Albinus served under Caesar throughout the Gallic wars and the civil wars that followed. He was however convinced to join the conspiracy against Caesar. It was in fact Decimus who convinced Caesar to attend the senate that fateful day, and he dealt (at least) one of the 23 blows that killed him.
